Your "wiper transmission" may be bad. Sometimes you can replace the bushings. A parts store may be able to get them for you.

The rear wiper on my 2004 GMC Yukon quit working and about two weeks later the rear defrost quit working too. I have checked the fuses and they are ok. Any suggestions?

Same as with all vehicle issues

Check the fuses

Then get out the Wiring Diagrams & get familiar with the
system & pick a test point, or start taking things apart, to get
to the motor or your test points, the most logical part to
have possibly failed

No one can do that for you or tell you what the problems are

Always need a vehicle to test

my guess would be that the wiring that runs from the car to that door is probably shorted inside the rubber boot. pull it back and check the wiring in there

The wipers quit on my 06 cruiser. they had been coming on and off by themselves for a while and then just quit. the back wipers work fine.

if power to wiper motor, then replace the wiper motor. if no power when switch is on, it is most likely the wiper switch thats bad. check the relays and fuses first! good-day!

2004 buick LaSaber windsheild wipers stopped working after I turned them off. Came on again for short time a few days later but soon quite again.

Try checking your wiper fuse first. If the fuse checks out, make sure the motor is running. Check to make sure no wires are burnt around the motor or loose. If the motor checks out, it could be your wiper switch.

How do I change wiper blades 2001 Chevy blazer

Open the cap at the end of the windshield wiper arm at the cowl of the Blazer. This will reveal the bolt that secures the wiper arm to the wiper linkage.
Unbolt the wiper arm using a 3/8-inch ratchet and socket. Place the bolt to the side, as you will reuse it later.
Pull the wiper arm up at the blade so that the blade of the wiper is pointing into the air. Then pull at the base of the arm, wiggling it slightly. It's a keyed gear, so it may take a little bit of workunderlined.png?1 to break it free, but with the right amount of wiggling, it will disengage.

Can the rear wiper drain the batter?

It's 1.48 am here and I'm rather sleepy but the other thing that springs to mind (bearing in mind the electrics on all cars are basically the weakest link) is a power drain. Basically that means there is still a loose connection somewhere on the car and quite possibly an earth.
If you lift the hood and check on the inside left and right wings you should see a whole bundle of sheathed and/or unsheathed wires bolted or held by a screw. Check the tightness and ensure this area is clean.
The weather could also be another factor, electrics don't like the cold and wet, so always keep a can of WD40 in the car and spray away at the electrics if you have car starting problems. Especially where the spark plug leads connect to the plugs.
