How do I fix my heater in my 99 jeep grand Cherokee

There are two systems to evaluate.
  1. Air Blows Fine but not Hot -> Check Thermostat and coolant level.
  2. No Air Blows -> Check Blower Motor, Blower Motor Resistor Pack and Blower Control in Dash

How to change a heater core in a 93 jeep grand cherokee

When I turn my heater on, after my 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee has warmed up, there is a dusty, watery smell for a few minutes, then it goes away. Also, it doesn't put out as much heat as I think it should. I don't think the heater core has a leak, because I always seem to have the same amount of coolant in the radiator and the heater core is not leaking on the inside of the truck.

I need help with heater core replacement for my 1999 jeep grand cherokee laredo

Changing the heater core requires complete removal of the dash panel and plenum box. To do this you have to remove the steering wheel, steering column, evacuate and recharge the refrigerant system and drain the radiator. I would only consider changing the heater core if it is physically leaking into the passenger compartment. If the problem is heat transfer to the HVAC system only, the problem is more likely with the blend doors. Check heatertreater.net for pictures and diagnostic information.

I have no heat blowing out of my '01 grand cherokee, new thermostat, new water pump, and heater core seems unobstructed

are both heater hoses hot if so either you have a blend door problem or you have air trapped in the heater core

How to change out heater core on 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee

this is a very complex procedure and one not really to be done outside of a dealership as the dash and interior require removal to gain access to heater core

01 jeep grand cherokee heater works on driver side blows cold on passenger side

You have 2 posibilities.there are 2 motors on the heater box that run the blend doors for each side. That side motor may be bad or worst case the blend door arm that connects to the motor is broken. If it is broken the whole dash has to be removed so the heater box can be taken out to replace the blend doors.Big job,do a heater core while your there if you fix it so you dont have to do it again.
