Chrysler voyager 2001 error code p1281

Hi, i have a 2001 chrysler voyager, and the engine management light has come on. i got the error code p1281 on the dash, can anyone enlighten me to what it means? any help will be greatly appreciated

    Engine is cold too long(engine coolant temp remains below normal operating temperatures during travel (thermostat)

My engine light came on, code P1281 is what the computer read, what does that mean? and how would I fix it?


Hi...Code P1281 means the engine is staying cold too long - check your thermostat. It is possible your thermostat is stuck in the open position.

My Chrysler 2003 voyager have check engine light that will never go away and error code P1684. How do I get read of this problem to pass the Emission Test

That means you already scan it and can not take it off from dash right!
well I am gonna tell you what I did once for same thing
Just unplug battery for more than 10 minutes, plug it back and it is very possible that the light it is not gonna show up for a while! goo luck! hope this helps

all this code means is that the Transmission computer has asked the engine computer to turn on the check engine light, now u must have the Transmission computer tested to determine the reason the check engine light was turned

Idlind problem


Could be a Mass Air Flow sensor or the O2 sensor.
Probably will need to vosot your local tech or a friend that can "check codes" off the ECU.

It could have any number of problems first check fuel pressure, and then check to see if your getting proper spark from the plugs and wires. Also if there are any engine lights on get them check.
