Question about 2005 Chevrolet Venture
This problem is caused by a defective gas tank sending unit, the gas tank must be removed and the fuel level sending unit replaced. and yes I am sorry but it is very expensive to fix.

Testimonial: "Thank you, around how much? I was also told that I needed to replace the Fuel pump also, is that true?"
I had the same problem on my 2000 Venture and found the gauge sender at auto zone for about 20 bucks. I did all the work myself and it fixed the problem. A little piece of advice I could give anyone thinking about doing this, run the tank to near empty as they're a tad heavy when they're full of gas.
