Is this a new body-style 99? The electric motors that control the doors inside your heater unit are prone to failure. Your best bet is to have a qualified technician take a look at it. A good scanner will show which motor is bad.

Usually a sign of a faulty blend door.

2002 sierra v6 heater won''t get warm. fuses all good. water not leaking from core. I circulated water thru core via hoses under hood. now what?

Replace your A/C Actuator. most common problem is that the heater vents get stuck in the closed position blocking the heat from entering the vents. I just replaced mine in my truck and it works like a champ now.

Get a female garden hose adapter from the local hardware store. Disconnect the heater hose from behind the fan pulley and attach the hose connection. Disconnect the other heater hose behind the alternator, aim it towards the ground and flush water through the heater core. This worked on my truck.
