Question about 1985 Volkswagen Golf
Check ur engine brackets, one of them might be giving u problems (its one long shot to be honest), but most likely the synchronizer cone on that gear is causing the problem, they wear on the inside and because of simple vibration they "let go" ur gear... u need to open the gearbox and have them check, i am assuming that ur gearbox is manual...
