The oil filter should be located at the front of the engine about half way up and its round, probably 2.5 inches in diameter and 4 inches long you just twist anti clockwise to remove it it may need big pliers to twist it if its tight should only do up as hard as you can thighten it with one hand thats tight enough

Where is the oil filter and the bolt on a 1995 Isuzu trooper

Hi Cortina,
The oil filter is located on the opposite side of the engine to the intake manifold and is situated facing downwards. If you're talking about the sump drain plug, it will be situated at the lowest part of the sump. If you have the 4JX1 engine there are two oil filters, one of them is for the engine lubrication system and the other is for the oil rail lubrication and activation system. The latter is the larger of the two and is located between pistons two and three about half way down the side of the block on the same side as the intake manifold. If you have the 4JX1 engine the type of oil you use is critical in maintaining trouble free motoring, check and use only the oil type stipulated.

I have changed pcv valve twice and still getting oil in breather

The PCV valve does not control the oil situation, it just keeps the pans and valve covers from blowing off during a backfire. Excessive Oil in the breather is a result of excessive crankcase pressures, usually due to a worn engine, specifically rings.
SOME oil is normal, especially if you are loaded heavily and hard on the throttle.
There is a tester that measures crankcase pressures, but usually some other manifestation shows, like excessive oil consumption.

the PCV system draws crankcase fumes into the intake at idle and lower throttle situations. air going into the crankcase is filtered by the small PCV filter, where the oil shows up....

At highter throttle and lower intake manifold pressures, the system reverses, the PCV valve closes, and the fumes exit the crankcase VIA the breather filter. All of this is normal.

It costs tons less to periodically clean or replace the PCV filter.

Its quite possible that it could be a dirty oil filter.I would try an oil and filter change and see if that helps you with your situation.

I started my truck and oil started running out above my oil filter

If it's a 4.3 there's a gasket on the oil filter housing. Remove the filter, then unbolt the housing from the block. Replace the gasket. If I've helped, please rate my assistance and leave a comment to help others in a similar situation. Thanks and happy holidays.

I would like to know whre the oil filter is situated on a 2002 316ti BMW?

it's not so much an oil filter as it is an oil filter element in a cannister with a removable top. look for an aluminum looking circular thing with a 10mm 6point bolt head on the top center. That's your oil filter cannister housing. unbolt the bolt......lefty loosey rightey tightey and voila.....there's the oil filter element. It is in the engine compartment, accessable from the top, not the bottom of the car.
