Question about 2006 Volkswagen Jetta

Trying to find out which fuse socket on a 2006 Jetta Wagon controls the rear power plug in the cargo area and what size the fuse should be. Also trying to get a printout of what the fuse symbols mean.

Thanks but my problem is figuring out what the various symbols on the fuse panel mean. The manual doesn't help all it tells you is what the colour of the fuses at rated.

Thanks for you help, I went to a different dealer who pulled out a 3 ring binder and it had the complete layout of the fuse panel with a description of what each socket covered, but he wouldn't give me a copy of the page. Anyway the socket I needed was 41 and uses a 15 amp fuse.

Your fuse cover should have what each fuse protects and where it is in the panes and the rating. You manual also has the same info (look under fuse in the manual). SHould be a 10-15amp though. They're is really no fuse symbol. Its either blown or good. You can look at the little metal strip in the fuse. If its broken the fuse is bad, if its not its safe to assume its good but the only true way of telling is with a test light..

Unfortunately there not any online literature for this.. The only 2 options you have are a Haynes/Chiltons manual $20 at any auto parts store or contacting the dealer (they have schematics). It really doesn't matter what the symbols say as a fuse is a fuse so check them all to see if they are good/bad. You can plug something into the lighter socket and it will go out when the correct fuse is pulled but thats about the easiest way without purchsing a manual..

Glad you found it. But unfortunately that's the problem with the dealer, they know that info in not out there. Not sure why its just a fuse diagram and every driver needs to know it on each vehicle.. They just want you to keep coming back an pay those ridiculous prices. but happy to be of assistance

Hi, You can pick up a Chilton's manual at you're nearest auto parts store that will tell you and show the locations you are looking for. With an inexpensive elect meter, you can check all of your fuses on the continuity setting by touching across each side of the fuse on the metal indentations. If the fuse is good , the meter will let you know depending on the type you get. I would get a digital one for this check. Good Luck,

What drive socket do i need to remove front caliper on 2006 vw jetta?

caliper or most brake part bolts are between 10mm and 19mm for the wheel bolts , get a set online if haven't got tools , don't waste time and money just trying to get a particular size as many different manufacturers are used for the same part and may just get one that uses a different bolt head size

Water leaks into rear left cargo area in 2006 Jeep Liberty during heavy rain. Think it's coming from roof rack but no water comes in when I aim a hose at it.

Could be the rear wheel is splashing up the water onto the cargo area, only when you drive. It might be a hole in the floor of the cargo area letting in the water.

2006 jetta, i have a 20amp fuse that blows that is not labeled? it is the only one not labeled in the owners manual. how do i figure out what it is for? thanks!

Check if there is something plugged into a power socket or cigar lighter. if so remove it and se if the fuse stops blowing. If all the sockets seem fine, then plug something you know that works into one and if it does not work, then the fuse is for the cigar lighter/12v socket.
Good luck

Cig lighter wouldn't work, no power

Check the fuses for these in the fuse box first. Sometimes these also have an inline fuse. Remove the socket and see if there is an inline fuse.
