How do turn the idle speed up

Use idle adjustment ... turn screw
(word will be censored but sounds like ski + rue).
Buy book, read.

Else
Give year, make, model, engine, transmission... Diesel or Petroleum...?

Or... Go back to your UNDISCLOSED dealer and ask for their
FACTORY+WORKSHOP+REPAIR+MANUAL... (yr+make+model)

(I highly recommend... great source of detailed info).

How do you adjust the valves

you need to state which engine you have. Sometime in the 90's a lot of Toyota motors went to a shim system for valve adjustment so the usual simple valve adjustment techniques are not used. Job for a dealer or toyota specialist shop. You need to have a good reason to adjust them anyway. What is the compression in each cylinder./Are the valves burned?

P300 p301

I believe the p300 and p301 codes are emission control codes. Rough idle? Usually changing some emission parts will help. Especially if you have to pass air quality. So i recommend changing the PCV valve. If your car has a lot of miles, you should change EGR valve O2 sensor. These items can be pricey. Your cars computer will adjust itself for these conditions. Eventually, the car will just run poorly though. After you fix it,the codes can be erased at your dealer.

Hi We have a Horrible rattling Noise from Beety Its been advised Tappets are needing done What does this involve & Can A Dealer In Central Scotland Be advised What damage? can I do by contiuing to...

The tappets are essentially little levers that make the valves move up an down to allow fuel and air to enter your cylinder and exhaust to exit the cylinder (essentially connect the valve to the cam shaft). The tappets may be adjusted by screws, shims or even self-adjusting hydraulic lifters.

The risk is that you will damage the valve seat (where the valve contacts the cylinder head to close the cylinder area during compression and combustion).

A dealer should be able to adjust them for about 150 quid if they are not the self-adjusting hydraulic type. If self-adjusting feature is broken, then price will be higher..

Is valve adjustments needed on 2000 camry V6 I am hearing noises that seems like coming from under valve cover, you can hear the noise from inside car,but not from outside of car. I was told this engine...

The valve adjustment usually isnt done unless there is valve noise. If you think its valve noise, have the dealer check it or a shop that does a LOT of Toyota work. Special tools and shims are needed to adjust the valves. Its a LOT of work and will not be cheap. You will want to replace the spark plugs at the same time.

1999 silverado heater does heat up but when the defroster is turned on it immediately cools down to a very luke warm.

there a control valve in the back behind the dash. the control valve work like any valves which is adjustable on and off. over time the valve tend to fail if its not used frequently. the internal valve made out of rubber and over time exposure to heat, the rubber tend to get siezed up and sometime it will not open, closed or adjust properly according to your sitting. the valve work by allowing the hot antifreeze to flow from engine compartment through the valves and to the heater core which the fan then blow giving you that heat according to your adjustment or setting. you may have to replace the valve or break it free by adjusting manually with your hand. the valve is fairly cheap to replace but the task is tearing the dash apart to get to it. it time consuming, but very easy to replace once you get to it. do not take it to dealer, they will get you for labor, ask around and get diffent quote if you decide to have someone else do the job. the part is cheap the labor will be up to you on what is reasonable...good luck and hope that make sense.

Vent control on dash does not change the direction of air flow

Most like the control is at fault, if vacuum operated a vacuun hose is leaking. If cable operated, the cable is broken or disconnected.
