If I change The bad ecm in My 1996 town and country will I have to have it reprogrammed for the correct mileage?

No You should not have to have it re-programmed.

Only a dealer can reprogram from what i hear.. take it there, and be worry free i am sure

On 1996 Chrysler Truck Town & Country 2WD 3.8L MFI 6cyl the Engine Control Computer is located under hood, driver side, front side of strut tower, mounted on wheelwell.

is there a fuse and relay center under the hood ? there could be an alt fuse in there that is burned usually they take the large maxi fuses hope this helps

Yes, the car will probably shift harder (if it has an automatic transmission) and it won't shift correctly when you try to accelerate at speeds over 30 MPH (it will downshift too many gears).

Sounds like a bad pump or converter. You need to check line pressure.

2001 Town & Country gas mileage has dropped a bit

its located under the body of the van on the drivers side.. changing anything on it will not improve the mileage..may be time for a tune up.. induction service or air and fuel filters.. keep in mind that winter furl gives lower mileage

I need to locate the ecm on chrysler town and contry

For 1996-2000 (NS platform), it is located on the driver's side fender. You will have to remove the fuse box to gain access to it. The ECM has two 40 pin connectors.
