2004 Hyundai Sonata - Clock above radio died

I have a 2004 Hyundai Sonata 4 cyl. car - The clock above the radio / cd player is broken. I checked the fuse box and the fuse is ok. I'm not sure what else to look for.

Thanks.

If the fuse is fine then:-- you can fix the clock by taking the radio completely out of the dash and dismantling the front face of it. the lightbulb connector on the screen display must have loosened. you actually have to do it in your car to get the light to work. just slowly rotate it till it turns on while you have your car on ac. either you can trust it where it is after it comes back on or you can hot glue it.

This will help. Thanks please keep updated.please do rate the solution positively .thank you for using fixya.

My radio/ 6 disc CD player.

Both. Check the power line that is supposed to power the clock and memory circuits when you turn off the ignition.

And your player has lost the ability of the laser to focus on the disc - hence the error message.

Hyundai sonata 2004 electric problem, any suggestions?

The three circuits you mentioned get power from different sources. So it would have to be a point where they meet before the fuses, or a ground connection problem. It should be possible to trace the circuits back to the problem with the right wiring diagrams. You may need a shop manual to do it.

Trying to locate a short in my 2004 hyundai sonata, any suggestions?

It won't be a "Short" if the fuses don't blow.
You state the Wipers don't work, then further down you say they do, makes it hard to give advise if you're not accurate.
Without seeing the vehicle, I'd be leaning towards a loose Earth connection somewhere.

I can't change the time of the clock on the Hyundai 50645P CD player/AM FM clock. There is no information in the Sante Fe manual. Any advice?

Try this, put the key in the ignition and let it be on the first turn right marked "ACC" or you can turn off the stereo and you will notice that only the Digital Clock screen will show. Turn the Volume/Audio/Sel knob and press on the "DISP" button simultaneously for about 4 seconds then release the "DISP" button. The digital clock will start blinking, and then use the Tune/Seek arrows pointing up and down to change the time. If the hour digit is blinking change the hour and after you have changed it press "DISP" then the minute digit will start to blink change it using the arrows, when you are done press "DISP" again or leave the clock for between 4 to 8 seconds the clock will start working normally.

I hope this works for you.

Good luck!

dear friend- the error code means the lazer is not reading your cd,if it is a pirate cd it might be the problem,or the lens must be cleaned.

Remove the facia plate, and remove the 4 screws that hold the radio in place. It's actually one of the simplest cars you can do.
