If the fuel pump is clogged the car jerks while driving as the pressure of fuel is not sufficient so the car jerks.get the fuel pressure checked to confirm the fault.also recheck the starter connections at the battery.also if the battery is not charged properly the car jerks .
the other possibilities can be
When a car jerks or vibrates that usualy means that the air preassure in AT LAEST one of the tires is to low. Fill up air in your tires. If that still does not solve the porblem and your car jerks and drifs then you should get your wheels alligned. They are not perpendicular to the road (or flat). That also speeds up tire ware.If your car vibrates at high speeds you should get your wheels balanced. Your wheel gets rotated in a machine, and then tiny weights are added to the wheel to eliminate any heavy spots on the wheel. also Its possible the either your Start Relay is stuck or that the Starter Solenoid is stuck...Bad ignition switch or starter solenoid it needs to be checked.also you can get the car checked at car diagnosis center to get the codes on as per that you can locate the faulty part out of its free to get car diagnosed. This will help. Thanks please keep updated.please do rate the solution positively .thank you for using fixya.

Replace starter in 2004 honda accord

Try 'jiggling' the key while you hold it in the start position' this could be a failed ignition switch.
It could also be that the + terminal on the starter or starter solenoid may be corroded. Since the battery was just replaced, those terminals are probably clean enough but check the negative cable where it attaches to the chassis or block. If the connection is flaky here, enough current can often pass to allow lower current devices to operate but drop too much voltage if the starter is trying to operate. Starters require 100-200 amperes, many times higher than anything else in our vehicles and show up cruddy connections pretty quick.

Starter for 2004 honda accord

Is this for a 4 or 6 cylinder engine?

If it is for the 4 cylinder, it's not that easy as the intake manifiold needs to be removed before the starter can be removed as the starter is under the intake manifold. Once the manifold is removed then it's a matter of a couple bolts and connections. It's not that quick a job.
