Gmc envoy 2004 air won't work

So little info hard to know what to tell you. Causes can be low charge due to a leak, defective air temperature control blend door or blend door actuator. What exactly is the AC doing? Does the compressor run?

Blend door must be stuck open. Loud whistling noise at 60mph and higher coming through dash. Very loud. 2004 GMC envoy

Take out the cabin air filter that is in the plenum behind the glove box. This will lessen the noise but you should get the unit serviced soon.

On my 2004 Gmc Envoy, Heat only comes out on passenger side, still blows cold air on drivers side. Defrost, floor and vents all produce air flow. Rear heater works fine. A/C works fine. Any idea?

Sounds like the driver's side temperature actuator or blend door are defective. Part of the dash needs to be removed to access these parts.

I have a 2004 envoy and my air will not blow through my front vents. The air blows fine through my top, bottom, rear and side vents, why is it not blowing through my front vents?

If you recently had a weak battery or replaced a battery the HVAC unit will perform a recalibration of all doors. This causes the door motors to be moved full cycle and the mode door will stick some times. Usually this is the problem. The actuator motor will need to be removed and replaced...sometimes they can be recalibrated, but not often.
Good luck, i hope this helps.

2003 gmc envoy air only blows out of floor and defrost. I hear no air leak and cannot find vacuum lines from engine to firewall. Please help. Air does blow to the rear console.

The blend door(s) actuator is more than likely the problem, this is a common issue with this vehicle. The repair is complex, it involves gaining access to the HVAC housing in the dash. Visit www.trailvoy.com and search on HVAC.

The air will not come out of the 4 main dash vents. The blower works but air will only come out at the dash or the floor. Is there a damper that is stuck

Blend Door Actuator.Should have 2.One will controll the air across the heater core, and the other will adjust air flow direction.

2004 chevy avalanche with dual control system problem

this problem is caused in almost all cases by a failed actuator that moves the door insiode the heating/ac duct to change the outlet temperature, it is called the Air Temperature Control Blend Door actuator.

Back door will not open from the side.

You will need to pull off the back panel to access the handle and rod. You either have a broken handle, or the rod that goes to the actuator has fallen off.
