It may be clipping which means it may not be getting enough voltage or amperage supply. This is caused when the demand for high current cannot be met because of a voltage drop in the circuit. Basically if there is a bad connection it could cause the amp to work ok until you crank it up. It can also be caused by using wire that is not big enough to supply the current needed for a devise. Most amplifiers require a minimum of 10 gauge and often 8 gauge wire. If it is a monster amp or you are driving multiple amps then you should probably be using 4 gauge to a distribution block and then 8 to the individual amps. This goes for the ground side of the circuit also.

You need to add a capacitor to your system or you can shorten your ground wire which works some of the time time or you can increase your wire gauge going to your amp. Any or all of these things can help. Another very important thing to remember is you need good air flow around your amp to prevent from heat overload.

Compresor dont get current

Autozone.com has diagrams for free when you register your car on their site. You can test the low pressure cut-off valve downstream from the evaporator tank by disconnecting the harness from the switch and using a good size wire to loop into the harness.

If the compressor clutch kicks in, you have either low system pressure or a bad low-pressure cut-out switch. This is a test procedure. Even bypassing direct as you have done can risk damaging the compressor.

Besides Freon, compressors need oil, the right type, and a small amount. There are Freon cans which include an oil charge as well as sealers and conditioners to prevent or fix leaks. Remember that the system has a volume limit and more additives leaves less room for the Freon to work good.

If you have low pressure, it is possible that what is left is contaminated. Freon is a gas. Air is a gas. The system was suppose to start with Vacuum negative pressure by using a Vacuum pump(Loaner item). This means that total volume inside your hoses could be wrong. It is easier to understand when you consider the Freon changes back to a liquid and Air needs a much lower temperature to become a liquid. So you lose volume for the Freon to change back from liquid to a gas. It constantly cycles like this to make it transmit heat from the cabin to the outside.

I hope my solution is helpful.

1994 Cadillac Fleetwood Radio. Once turned on the display cuts out, you can tune the radio to a station. The problem i'm having is that the radio will go from low volume to very high and then cut off...

Most likely, you will have to remove the radio
& take it to a car radio shop

Not many around anymore

They usually resolder whatever & put a
new belt on your Cassette or CD Drive & your good to go

I have an acura legend 1994 and I'm having same problem, the volume will work correctly once in a while when it wants to, otherwise I have to turn the volume on high and not even get a good sound or can nearly hear anything. I wanna know why, is it a fuse? Or electrical?

Most likely cause is heat. The clearances behind the radio are often not sufficient to provde the proper air coolling that the higher power radios need. The heat sinks on the rear of the radio require a certain amount of air flow to dissipate the heat generated under high load conditions. If you add summer heat to the equation, you can have the radio going into thermal cutout to protect it circuity.

My 2001 330ci has the Harmon Kardon sound system. However, when I run the system at high volume for about 5 minutes, the front speakers start cutting in and out. It doesn't seem like a speaker is blown,...

Thermal issue is shutting down amps till temps moderate. You must be driving your system too hard. And check out your tone control settings especially the bass. Every 3 db boost forces amp to double power at that frequency so if you are already blasting at 100 watts, a 3 db boost will compel amp to put out 200 watts, etc. Very easy to overdrive and overheat amp. You might want to try blowing air over output stages to improve cooling at high volume levels.

You are lucky that you have good protection circuits - otherwise by now you would have blown the output stages.

Oil pressure

the oil pump pickup could have come off the oil pump, but u could fell it inside the pan through the drain plug, that is possible, but not very likely, try installing an aftermarket high volume oil pump, most are adjustable for either high volume or high press, you want volume.

Air condition

Check the cooling system, particularly the radiator to make sure it is not partially plugged. Additionally, check the radiator fan for proper operation. If the engine temperature is running way above normal, some of the heat is transferred to the air-conditioning condenser, which causes the air-conditioner to lose efficiency. As for your question about a "limiter" switch, there is a high-pressure switch in the air-conditioning system that cuts the compressor out when the pressure gets too high.
