This could actually be a vacuum leak since your climate controls are vacuum controlled. Listen to seeif it sounds like it is coming from the center of the dash area around the control or further to the right. sound can play tricks on you but this would most likely cause unless you only hear it when the blower is on. Then it would be a leak in the blower area.

More that likely the vacuum supply hose to your heat/ ac controls is leaking or, one of the vacuum motors is unhooked or ruptured. Use a small piece of hose, if you have any, start the engine, then stick one end of the hose up to your ear and search around under the dash with the other end. Keep moving the hose until you isolate the spot where the noise is loudest.(cheap stethoscope). Use a mirror if you cannot physically see the area. That is where you will find your leak. TJ

1996 Buick Park Avenue Ultra making a hissing noise when I press Brake Pedal. Have to Press super hard to stop or slow down.

Sounds like a possible air pocket in the braking system. Do you know how the bleed the brakes? They may need to be bled. Also, if you've added brake fluid recently, and didn't put the cap back on, it could create a suction. Another note is to check the cap to the brake fluid reservoir. It's rare, but, it could be bad.

87 chevy caprice A/C vent not opening

Depends on what is clicking. The engine vac opens blend doors under the dash. It could be one of the vac pots or a blend door is sticking. Normally the hissing noise means you have a leak, but a leak usually does not fix itself.

I have a 2003 eddie bauer ford expedition, when im driving, i can hear a sound like air coming from a tire under the dash on the drivers side floor area. when i tap on my break the sound goes away, what...

A vacuum leak. Look & listen for hissing noise where rubber or nylon lines come through firewall under dash near brake pedal. Also look under hood at large hose going to back of brake master cylinder, power brake booster.

If the fan works in all speeds but is not hot, it is most likely the heater core that is at fault.

Heater control unit is working but the defrosters are not blowing out of dash i can get heat on the floor boards but not on dash please help i am at a lose

I believe this control uses vacuum to operate the different doors that direct air flow. Carefully while engine is running listen for hissing noises under dash while changing control to each position. If no changes in noises are heard then pinpoint leak . If there is no hiss then check under hood for a leak in the source line for control head.
