Question about 2001 Oldsmobile Alero
I was leaving work to walk out to a car that won't start. The car would turn over but would not start. It almost started once but quickly died. I tried to jump it but that didn't work. Any idea's?
Be careful on this problem, this car has a problem on the pas-loc security system,go to www.carcomplaints.com type in 2001 alero wont start.i have this same year our daughter drives.please go and check this sight out .this is not a bad fuel pump. the sec.system is flawed.it thinks the car is being stolen so it is giving a false code which is causing the fuel pump to shut down.this is a problem that gm knew about,if you have a owners man.on this car, look up the pas loc system in it.they tell you how to override it.i hav been dealing with this for years snd may have a fix that will cost nothing..

If the vehicle is cranking but wont start i would check fuel pressure. The fuel pump might be bad.
