Check the fluid level and add if it's low on fluid, look for visible leaks that will need to be addressed. The only other thing to that may have gone bad is the power steering rack and will need to be replaced. Good luck and keep me posted, be glad to know your got your car running 100% again soon.

My Acura TL 2013 has a warning light to check power steering system. I lost power steering on the way home one night but the next morning on my way to work it was fine. The problem is recurring now.

The system will set a fault code when the warning light comes on that will tell what part is acting up, you need a scan tool hooked up and the fault code read.

What happens if the drive belt breaks

if a drive belt breaks, the debris can interfere with other engine components and do additional damage. rule of thumb belt life is 6yrs or 60000 miles. the belts operate critical engine systems ( alt, water pump, power steering pump) not something to short cut on. belts are noisey when cold due to additional load from battery use when starting or cold fuuids. have belts and tensioners checked for wear and correct operation

Power steering went out on my 2002 pt cruiser

Please check the TYRE pressure if this seems OK then you must hoist the car and check the steering with the wheels up . If this is not found to be free the power steering section must be checked in detail starting from the drive, the hydraulics to the ball joint links. Loss of fluid or fault in pump cannot be ruled out. check the drive belt which if failed will be indicated.

My 2003 laguna 1800 estate's power steering no longer works. Woked fine lat night when I used it, but this morning, completly gone. Help!!

Hi there the first thing to do is to check the Power steering oil in the power steering Tank and you should find it empty and a leak in either the pump or the hose so fill it up ,,start it up and turn the steering wheel and you should find a leak.
Other wise if you have a belt drive P.S.Pump then it could be slipping or missing.
Let me know if you need more info. Ron

Steering wheel extremely hard to turn

Replace the power steering pump should fix it. Have seen both failed pump and steering racks cause this problem.
