98 beetle wipers slow or stop.sometimes the wipers work slowly-sometimes stop in middle of windshield and won't work-do i need a new motor or can i fix myself

hi there first you can buy a chemical called WD. It's sold at gas stations. Then open the bonnet and spray it on all the joints that connect to the whippers before they are running. Then let them run with some water on the wind screen so that there is less friction between the whippers and the screen.. I guess this will work
