my check engine light keeps coming on and i cant punch the gas on inclines without killing my speed even more

- i was thinking something along those lines... thanks. furthermore though. i have been having a little bit of a gas leak if i top of my tank, and the check engine light comes on randomly... usually if im about 20 miles down the road and no matter what if i restart the truck it turns off???Solution #1

Sounds like you need to have the catylitic converter replaced,if you can't get rid of exhaust the engine can't take it's fuel.The light is likely on because the o2 sensor is seeing a problem and the new convter should fix both problems.You will see a great improvement in fuel milage also.

- Get the codes read,they will lead you to the problem.As for the fuel leak when filling,check the filler pipe and the vent tube to the gas tank,also could be the tank or sending unit or the sending unit 'o'ring.Yes
