- Antenna is ib rear window, had same problem 2 years back. Tec replaced a silver box that the antenna leads go into can not remember the name of that box. the replacement cost me a few hundred $$

Usually has to do with the antenna. Could be broken or loose whip, shield is broken underneath base. If the antenna checks out then you may need to have the radio calibrated or replaced.
