I have had the car for about 3 years. after the first year when you opened the driver's side rear door, the dome light would not go on. Now, the light won't go on no matter which doors are open. the dome light does work by depressing the map-light buttons.

Check the operation of the door sense switches, they may be sticking.
Check domelight switch is in correct position to enable auto door activation (if applicable).
