Problem for Ford 2002 Escape

Headlamp has low candlepower 2002 ford escape

Following a mild collision repair shop visit, my 2002 ford escape headlamp has low candlepower. Can this be a problem with the ground wire? where can i look for the problem wire? Failed NJ inspection even with a brand new bulb. Thanks very much for the help!

You have probably got a bad earth return due to paint job

Take a lead from the "Negative" post of your battery and touch the other end to the metal clip that holds the bulb in place.

If the illumination increases then you need to make a more permenant connection from the same place to the chassis
