My 2003 Ford Explorer makes a clicking noise and wont start, will start with a jump, I let set for a hour and went to restart and it started, let set overnight and it would not start in the morning. Is it the battery?

It may be the battery, battery connections or a drain on the battery.
If the battery is over 5 years replace it anyway.
If you want to check for a external drain disconnect the battery over night. If it could start the vehicle before disconnecting and can not when reconnected it is the battery that needs replacing.

All this assumes the charging system has been checked and the alternator is charging the battery.

Could be, have the battery LOAD TESTED and also verify that the alternator and the connections are good.
