i have a 2000 golf v6 4 motion and the information display doesn;t seem to work

I Have fitted an polo 2.0i engin into a caddy
I Have fitted an polo 2.0i engin into a caddy ldv with an adaptor plate to fit normaly aspirated carb
Is there a normally aspirated cyl.head I could fit
so I do not have to use adaptor plate.
I also have an adaptor plate for distributor that does not hold the dist precisely enough and leaks is there meybe a better dist. to use or improved adaptor plate
