1982 AMC Eagle with a 258 engine 4x4. I drive the car for about one hour when it just shuts off (60 mlies per hour). The battery is still good (lights, horn, starter) replaced the coil. If the car sits for two hours and cools down she'll start right back up and good for the rest of the drive home. Signed: Late for everything.

Thanks for the mechanical advise.. I've been driving the Eagle back and forth to work this past week after installing a new ignition module. Today was the big test with it raining here.. The drive to work is 50 miles takes me just under one hour and the repair only cost me 150 bucks. Much less then taking to the garage..
By the way the wife is even more happy. With a new baby (5 weeks today) your information was very much needed and appreciated..
Thanks again
Steven
Do you have any idea what ignition system it has, as there were 2 or 3 used in around those years on the AMC products. If it's the HEI system, I'd suspect (1) pickup coil in distributor, or (2) module in distributor. If it's not HEI, let us know and we can help further.

Need to know location of vacuum components for the ford e350 motor home. Sticker under the hood doesn't tell me what to do if the hoses are disconnected. I need to know what hoses go where. The sticker doesn't tell me what the components are. Is there a photo out there somewhere? Thanks.
