How do i change the starter on a 1987 chev blazer

I am assuming your Blazer is an S10 4 wheel drive with a 6 cyl. engine (if i'm wrong...let me know). The diagram shows that it is located under the vehicle and held in place by at least two long hex head bolts. Before removing it's a good practice to take off your positive cable at the battery first. Now remove electrical wires at the starter and then unbolt it, or sometimes its easier to get at the electrical wires if you unbolt it first, but be careful...the starter is quite heavy! Make sure to hold it up while unbolting so it won't just fall to the ground and possibly causing damage to the electrical wires still attached! Always better if you can remove the wires first to avoid that from happening. Now reverse the process to install your new one...and last...to put your cable back on the battery. Hope I helped you!
