The best way is with a scan tool, but you can disconnect the negative battery cable For a few minutes ! Do you have a check engine light on ? Even if you clear the codes the light will come back on if there is still a problem !
You may have disconnected / or moved a broken wire to the ABS wheel sensor during the brake job. Also taking the brake fluid cap off and checking the fluid level, and just reseating the cap may turn off the code. Check these things first, check the wires to the wheel sensors check the fluid in the reservoir, reservoir top fit, and any wires / plugs at the brake ABS master cylinder. If all else fails have some one read the code.
