It has to be turned off by a diagnostic tool - you won't be able to turn it off by disconnecting the battery or anything. Have a shop do it - they can scan the computer, see which bag is causing the fault, and investigate the wiring - it could be that (if it's a seat airbag) the seat was moved too much and momentarily opened the connector (this is common on my car, the Audi A4). The bag will still work fine, but the light is on to let you know that at one point you had an issue with it. Have it scanned and reset, and you'll be fine.
