my ford fiesta finesse 1.3 petrol has experienced a sudden loss of power and increased fuel consumption. it has a massive juddering when im driving it and just seems to be driving badly. i have changed the fuel filter but problem still remains. thanks

You need to check for codes to begin with. If no codes then we can start guessing. A code is pretty strait forward. Without a code, hands on will be the only way to diagnose this issue.

- If the car has been using alot of fuel you may of melted the catalytic converter. When a cat melts it gets clogged up and does not let the exhaust gasses out. You will need to diagnose this to be sure. Also you will need to diagnose it before a cat is replaced because you will destroy the new part if you dont find out why.Yes
