Hi, this could be caused by a short circuit in the ECM or it more commonly found a short circuit in the alternator. Disconnect the battery wire from the alternator, make sure that the wire does not touch any part of the body or engine. Replace the fuse and see if it still blows the fuse. If the problem is solved, replace the alternator, if nor you will need to test the wires for a short circuit.

how do you identify the gearbox type on a peugeot expert van 1996. i believe the wrong clutch cable is fitted and i am aware that there are two types. A new clutch was fitted less than 20,000 miles ago and it has just failed, no sign of slip, no smellof burning just blew apart!! I am told this could be due to the wrong clutch cable hence query!
