Problem for Nissan 2006 Frontier

I have the exact same problem with 2006 Frontier.

I have the exact same problem with 2006 Frontier. I was below a 1/4 tank and filled up and the gauge did not rise at all. A few minutes later, the gauge went below empty and the service engine light came on. I'm at 38,000 miles.
