Do your tires show any siggn of cupping? or regular dips in the tread surface? If not, You do not need to replace anything. If ther is mild minor cupping have your tires balanced and you should be ok. The struts are called mcpherson struts. They incorporate the spring and shock absorber into one unit and all they replace is the shock absorber cylynder in the center of the assembly No other parts are replaced or renewed. So, if there is no major cupping on the tires or a springy feel in the front end, Save yourself the money. You can do a quick test by pushing down on the front bumper. If the body returns directly to the center the front end is in good shape. If the body continues to bounce, The struts are bad, like bad shocks. Good Luck _Ned_.

the strut only need replacing if there is alot of bounce in the car, or if there leaking, or the main reason is there broken. that would be the only reasons to replace struts
