battery was stolen 1993 ford festiva replaced it with one from other car but it wont stay started dies right away now it was running fine before this.

check the fusible links that are located on the strut tower right by the battery. They are 3 wires sticking out of a box. They may have got knocked when they battery was stolen and now are not making the proper connection. They are notorious for corroding and breaking connection.

hi,the computer has to relearn the idle,you need to raise the engine speed off idle not rev it and hold the speed there for about 4 or 5 minutes.then take it for a drive and things should be good to go.
