Don't rub ,brush or otherwise touch it. very expensive to replace and very easy to damage. OR yhe egr can be dirty(carboned up) and one more thing Chk for a vacuum leak on the engine.
The 02 sensor constantly adjusts the fuel and if you have two02 sensors and the ck engine light is not on, Replace the front 02 sensor. If you have only one, replace it. It/they is located on your exhaust pipe (s)
