i have just gotten a 99 expl. runs but not right changed 1 os that was bad. but still has a missfire trying to troubleshoot looking at sparkplug wires they don't look like the picture/diagrams in chilt manual need specific diagram for cyl numbering and locations at coilpack. engine is 4.0l v6 sohc

- maybe i wasn't clear enough!! I need diagrams or pictures to check that the spark plug wires are on the coilpack and sparkplugs correctly. the previous owners were dopeheads and may have messed them up! the manual I have only shows the cylinder nunbering for 2.5v6 and a picture of coilpack numbering that doesnot match my engine a 4.0LV6 S.O.H.C.Solution #1

It could be intake gaskets. Ford had problems with that in those years there's a update kit available from Ford for less than $100. It's not too bad of a job, you even have drain the coolant down.

- The firing order is 1-4-2-5-3-6, the passenger side is 1-2-3 frt. to rear driver side is 4-5-6 frt. to rear. Hopefully that helps you.Yes
