the computer is sending current direct to the spark plugs and blowing them out. Dealer says computer, all wires, all plugs need to be replaced at a cost of $3500 Is this for real?

It is really obvious you understand nothing about the ignition system of a car, of course the spark plug uses direct current, I think you better trust the dealer on this.
