where are the fuel injectors on a 2003 2.0 ford transit diesel
ran out of fuel have added fuel but won't start on ignition
have been advised by a mechanic to bump start vehicle then crack open the injectors to expel air
The age of this transit should be a self bleeding system. But if not, you will see some metal tubes running into the cylinder head, with nuts at the end. Loosen these and crank the engine over until fuel spurts through. You will only need to do 2 or 3 to get the engine started. I have personally used a damp start spray, in the air inlet to fire up diesel trucks before and not needed to bleed the system at all. Worth a try, just open up the air filter and squirt some into the inlet, crank it over and it should start.
