My son was driving my 1993 auto 80 series on LPG whilst 4wding on beach at around 60km/h Loud backfire followed by dramatic loss of acceleration. Pulled up for a look, couldn't see any obvious hoses that had blown off. Was struggling to idle on LPG, but was reving normally out of gear.When put in drive and try to accelerate would only do 10-20km/hr. Tried switching to petrol and stalled instantly.

it sounds like the timing belt jumped. im still not clear on what it is youre driving. please get back to me.
