Lookfor a light on the dash that says SECURITY or ANTITHEFT. If you see this light, that is a sign of a failed or failing antitheft system, which will disable your vehicle. This link explains
Hi,Yea that's kinda weird, could be the fuel pump check valve.is going bad inside the pump. its supposed to keep fuel from draining out of fuel lines back into tank ( thats why it will crank easyer if it does not sit to long) but after sitting overnight, ect. its letting the fuel drain out of the fuel lines and you have to crank it that many times to get fuel back to engine. just an idea! good luck. yz-maniac.
my mom has a 99 durango that did the same thing it would just stop running and would turn over but wouldnt start let it sit for a while then it would start right up it turned out to be the brain of the car the ecu dont know if this will help but its worth a shot
