2005 Ford Focus ZX4\r\nAC switch in dash does not

2005 Ford Focus ZX4 AC switch in dash does not move the blend to control where the heat goes in car.The AC switch which attaches to the button and to the mechanism under the dash but the new switch stopped working like the original one after a few weeks.

The blend door is jammed or something is stuck. I tried lubricating the unit under the dash. No luck...

I can manually move the mechanism by reaching under the dash but it is difficult to ocate and seems to stick a little in the extreme positions. I need to be able to put heat on the windshield for defrosting the glass and then put a mix on the floor to warm my feet..... I have to leave it in the defrost position or stop and move the mechanism by hand under the dash.... Please help...
