I drianed the transmission fluid from my jeeep cherokee 1999 4.0L. refileed the transmission with fluid....I am wondering should i have done something to the drain plug? I have noticed a few drops of fluid.

All that should have been done is wipe the base pan and drain plug clean, make sure the plastic gasket on the plug is in good shape, and tightened properly to the pan, not cross threaded

go to your local hardware store and buy a roll of plumers tape and wrap it around the drain plug.adrian;;;;
