2003 Honda Accord. The car was sitting for 2 months and I just tried to start it and the battery was dead. I bought a new battery, it started the first day and I went to start it a week later and the battery is dead again. I just jumped it and when I went to put it in drive it died when I hit the brake. Thank you
You are having a problem with your alternator. the battery has a main purpose to start the vehicle, keep computer memory, and give power to electrical components when the key is in the on position. the alternator charges the battery and gives power to electrical components when the vehicle is running. now when you hit the brakes there was an extra load added to the alternator and if the car died then the alternator is running very weak and needs to be relace.

Gasoline today doesn't hold its viability very long (honda says 1 month). Have you tried spraying a good carb cleaner into your throttle housing? Undo air filter tube and spray directly over throttle plate, wait a vew minutes, then try starting. If it starts, definitely get some fresh gasoline. Post progress.
