2003 Honda Accord. Dies when I try to put it in drive

2003 Honda Accord. The car was sitting for 2 months and I just tried to start it and the battery was dead. I bought a new battery, it started the first day and I went to start it a week later and the battery is dead again. I just jumped it and when I went to put it in drive it died when I hit the brake. Thank you

Gasoline today doesn't hold its viability very long (honda says 1 month). Have you tried spraying a good carb cleaner into your throttle housing? Undo air filter tube and spray directly over throttle plate, wait a vew minutes, then try starting. If it starts, definitely get some fresh gasoline. Post progress.

You are having a problem with your alternator. the battery has a main purpose to start the vehicle, keep computer memory, and give power to electrical components when the key is in the on position. the alternator charges the battery and gives power to electrical components when the vehicle is running. now when you hit the brakes there was an extra load added to the alternator and if the car died then the alternator is running very weak and needs to be relace.

2003 honda accord wont turn over. gear indicater on dash shows P and D simultaneously when key is turned to start

Sounds like the car thinks it is still in drive so will not start! Try selecting other gears to free it or remove the gear selecter switch and cleaning or replacing!

My Honda accord 2003 has trouble starting first of the day. Starts fine for the rest of the day, what could this be?

One thing that happens on older Hondas is that the fuel pressure bleeds off when they sit overnight. The fuel pump puts out 40 psi, and the system is supposed hold that pressure when the car is off. The check valve is weak. Then you try to start it and with no fuel pressure it takes awhile to start, and may run rough for a few seconds. To see if this is the cause, on your first start of the day, turn the key on but don't try to start it. When all the warning lights are on. The fuel pump will run for 2 seconds, then turn off. If it is quiet enough, you might hear it, or the main relay clicking off after 2 seconds. Cycle the key on for 2 seconds and then off, do this 5-6 times. Then try to start it. If it starts right up, you know the problem. Most people just accept this, because the check valve is part of the fuel pump, and this isn't cheap.

I have a 1994 honda accord lx that dies while I'm

More than likely this would be the ignition module or the ignition stator (AKA distributor pickup coil).

I have 1993 Honda Accord, now 4 times it has mysteriosly just turned off middle of driving. Power simply turns off, I am forced to but emergecny lights on and steer to the side of the road. Interestingly...

Do the dash warning lights work when you turn the key to the run or crank position. If not you may have a bad ignition switch which is pretty common for those years.
