I have a 98 chevy silverado k1500. I installed a new wiper motor and now the wiper blades dont go all the way down and when I turn them on they go off the windshield. Tried to adjust, but there is nothing to adjust the settings. Did they sell me the wrong motor or is there another issue?

- Ok tried that and when I first put them on they were down lower, however when I turned them back on the drivers side still goes off the windshield. Its starting to take the paint off...... any other suggestions?Solution #1

Hello, from the sound of things you need to readjust your wiper blades. If they dont go all the way down you need to take them off at the windshield and reposition them closer to the bottom of your windscreen. They should then work fine. I hope this helps.

- Hello, check with Chevrole and find out the part number to the wiper motor and see if it corresponds with what you have been sold, it is possible that you have been sold the wrong part.Yes

take the arms off and start the wipers ,then turn them off and fit the blades where they should be ,just off the bottom of the screen .
