The sound cuts out on my bmw 3 series sat

the sound regulalrly cuts out on my bmw 3 series sat nav/tv/radio. it only come back on occ if i switch on then off or when i start the car again after a while. Should i replace it and how or can it be fixed

The radio could be sensing a shorted spekaer wire and shutting down sound output. if u have any aftermarket subwoofers or speakers installed make sure they are not contacting each other or any metal surface
