Fuses ?

many check engine lights will clear themselves after the test that failed causing the light to turn on has passed a programmed number of times. sometimes its 3 sometimes its 50 just depends on what causes the light. if chk engine light is flashing that indicates a misfire that can cause serious damage if it is not flashing and u just want to clear the light try disconnecting the negative battery cable for about 2 min then reconnect this should clear the pcm memory. battery is located under air cleaner housing on drivers side of vehicle
