What do i do with a po603 code. i know whwt it means but now what?

Start by charging the vehicles battery and clean terminal, once the battery is charged and the terminals are clean and secure, erase code. If the code comes back ON you may have to reprogram or replaced ECM/PCM

Starter was compromised and power to the solenoid was either shunted or under powered.

P0700 is a pcm trouble code that basicly says there is more trouble codes in the trans controler side of the pcm.
in order to find out what those codes are you will need a scan tool and then once you have the codes further diagnois can be done.
depending on what codes come out of the trans controler it could mean something simple like a bad speed sensor or some kinda bad like a loss of prime. gear ratio error codes can be caused by faulty sensors.


Best advice take it to either a dealer you trust or a tranny shop you can trust. if your not comfortable driving it get it towed.

whats the oil condition? does it smell burnt and is it dark in color? and is the level correct

problem PCM,bad connection [corroded] battery,water,maybe need new PCM,PO603,PO140.Coils and module,spark plugs.

po603 is pcm keep alive memory error. either have pcm tested or replace pcm. because the pcm is at fault.

Code 603 means the power to the PCM has been interrupted. This can be due to the plug-in connectors having corrosion or being loose.

Your model may have a label showing the location of the components. You can also try Autozone or Oreillys for a picture of the component. Ask if your year model has a relay for this part. If it does, its most likely the relay.

Ford dealer Tech said to check for corrosion on the battery terminals, if
they’re good the check each battery individually to see if all cells are good.
If that still doesn’t solve it, he says to start pin testing the computer ????!!!??

P0603 doesn’t always mean you have a problem, if you are running any kind
of chip, programmer ,etc. you will get that code.

The battery must have been disconnected at some time to set po603 keep alive memory. You will need a scan tool to reset computer.
