2003 silverado 1500. I looks as if the rack and pinion is leaking from the seam adjacent to where the steering linkage is connected. This seam is were both halves of the rack and pinion come together. But after cleaning the rack and pinion and the engine oil pan I started the truck and turned the stearning wheel from lock to lock several times and when I looked it seamed that red fluid was seapping from a bolt holding the oil pan directly above the rack and pinion. The rack and pinion was dry. Engine oil is not red in color so what is going on. Im stumped.
