Disconected battery to replace with new one and

disconected battery to replace with new one and tried to put code back in for radio to work. now it says lockout 10.how can i reset to put code in. the car is a 2003 ford focus

- what do you mean wait 24 hrs. it says lockout 10....ford recons that the radio has to come out and be sent to melb..i think thats b.s. there must be a way to reset it without the bull from ford

- my daughter put the code in at least 10 times.they tell me now it has to come out but anyway the code is 6258 and how do i get the radio out their are 4 little holes ...two on each side thats all i can see...ta

- should i take the leads off the battery, when you said wait 24 hours then try to put code in...can i do that as well??????? before i try to remove the radio to get the chasis number??????

- tried to get radio out no luck can't seem to feel release clips in the holes is there a trick to do this i must be missing something..used coat hanger wire ok

- No ,just wait 24 hrs then try putting the code in again ,first number in no1 ----to ---no4 then press no5 to lock it in ,unless you have the wrong code number ,if you remove the radio and post me the chassis number i will check the code number you have with my code generator to make sure you have the correct code

- them two little holes each side ,use a piece of coat hanger cut to about 10cms and bend it in a half loop and pus it into the holes to release the locking clips .Then post the radio chassis number and i will generate the code from the chassis number in case someone has changed the radio or whatever then when you have the correct code write it on the sun visor

- no sometimes they a right pig ,had a mondeo here yesterday and couldnt get that out either.Leave it 24 hours and try the number you have again and dont forget to press 5 to lock it in
