2003 honda accord. Dad changed fuse for cigarette lighter because he needed to use a prtable pump to put air in my tire. Ever since them my engine light is on . I had no problems before. What can I do?
If you mean that your malfunction light is on, then your computer is no doubt throwing a code to tell you what it thinks the problem is. Autozone or others of the same sort would be glad to connect their ODB-II scanner to your data link connector(under the drivers dash) to tell you what those codes are.
Incidentally, your manual indicates that it takes at least three driving trips for the computer to reset itself (unless there is a continuing problem) and for the light to go off.
I'm assuming that Fuse 9 (15A) was the fuse that was replaced (interior fuse box).
Hope this is helpful
The two should not be related. Go to atozone and ask them to run a check for the check engine light. It's free and it will tell you exactly what's wrong.
