I have a 2002 jeep cherokee and when I turn the key, the alarm light blinking and making noises and the engine would not turn. All light in the car is working.

try this first, make sure all doors are locked. Insert door key in drivers side door lock and turn key left for 3-5 seconds then turn to the right with a little pressure. open door. Insert key in ignition and turn to on ONLY! wait at least 30 seconds, then turn key to start allow to idle for a few minutes. If problem persists, the remote is not functioning properly. contact a locksmith for reprogramming or replacement. A lock shop will be cheaper than the dealer! Hope this helps you!
You need to read the computor, I believe if you turn the ignition three times without starting it, and the engine lite will blink, that is how you read the codes, long blinks are ten, two long blinks is 20, and the faster blinks are one, get back to me what the codes are and i'll help you.
Try turning the key..unlock-lock-unlock in the rear tailgate lock. That should turn off the factory security system. If it's an aftermarket alarm system, you will need an alarm installer's help in determining what type and model alarm it is, before you can figure out how to shut it off.
Do you know how to check codes on your Jeep? Sometimes the crank position sensor goes out but the Jeep will still run until there is an interruption in power to the ECU. I had a 94 Cherokee do the exact same thing. Turn your key in the following pattern: off-on-off-on-off-on. Leave it on and look at the engine light - it will blink out 2 digit codes. If I remember right code 11 is for the crank sensor...
you have a trouble code turn key off and on 3 times to make dash lites go on then off and on the 3rd time leave the key on and watch the lite it should start to blink count the blinks and let me know be careful cause there will be paulses betwin some to make up your trouble code ie 2 3 eqals code 23
